Role: Graphic Designer on Cross-Functional Team

PROJECT SUMMARY:
During my internship with the Creative Department at L.L. Bean, I worked with a cross-functional team to create a conceptual footwear marketing campaign in order to address company goals for the coming years. Based on data from our surveys, competitive analysis findings, and internet trends, my team envisioned a coast-to-coast mobile selling tour utilizing the Bootmobile, L.L. Bean's beloved boot-shaped truck, as an attraction. It was an exciting challenge to work within a brand's existing visual identity while also introducing fresh elements for the campaign!
For the campaign's logo, we implemented a color-blocking illustrative style in order to stay cohesive with the majority of L.L. Bean's existing graphic design collateral. We utilized wave and mountain iconography on the bootmobile in order to convey the "Coast-to-Coast" nature of the campaign tour. Furthermore, we created four unique Maine-inspired shades and implemented the Pantone 2021 Color of the Year 'Illuminating' in addition existing L.L. Bean colors to create a harmonious color scheme.
