PROJECT SUMMARY:
Within the last two days of my internship, I was tasked with creating an illustrative poster to notify L.L. Bean corporate employees of a documentary showing, honoring Bean's Best employees. Bean's Best is an annual award bestowed upon the best employees throughout all divisions of L.L. Bean. Creating this poster was a great honor and was printed at 24x36" and distributed across L.L. Bean's Corporate Headquarters.
MOOD BOARD AND INITIAL IDEAS:
I began the project by curating several images of movie posters that I felt captured the aesthetic that I wanted for the poster. In order to make the poster my own and give it more character, I utilized the silhouette of Mount Katahdin seen in the L.L. Bean logo below, as well as original sun and tree illustrations. Additionally, I situated the text between the sun's rays to better connect the type with the illustrative elements.
